Post-Doctoral Positions
Our lab develops and utilizes innovative single molecule techniques that examine the fundamental processes that impact DNA, such as stretching and twisting, as well as the highly dynamic practices of motor proteins as they translocate along, and rotate around, DNA. We are currently seeking self-motivated, collaborative postdoctoral candidates to work on diverse projects that address the mechanical behavior of biological molecules at the single molecule level.
We consider candidates from a broad range of backgrounds including – single molecule biophysics, nanofabrication, instrumentation, biochemistry and molecular biology.
General Qualifications:
• Ph.D. in physics, applied physics,
engineering, chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology or a related field.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Effective communication skills, self-motivated, and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and in a group/collaborative environment.
Applicants should send curriculum vitae, the names and email addresses of three references, as well as a detailed statement on how their experience and interests relate to our work.
Graduate Students
We are currently looking for new students! Prospective graduate students who are interested in our laboratory are encouraged to apply for admission through the Field of Physics, the Field of Biophysics, the Field of Applied Engineering and Physics, or the Field of Biochemistry, Molecular and Cell Biology.
Current Cornell graduate students are invited to contact Dr. Wang or come visit the lab anytime. We are located in the B corridor of the Clark Hall basement.
